Project Aim
pitt&sherry land use planners helped LPD Developments obtain approval for a combined planning scheme amendment and planning permit application. The project involved reallocating residential and industrial zones to accommodate new houses above the floodplain and new industrial development below.
What we did
Our multifunctional team of planners and engineers prepared the following advice and documentation:
- Various plans, Traffic Impact Assessment, Flood Hazard Report, Stormwater Management Report, Emergency Management Plan, Noise and Air Emissions Assessment and Landslip Hazard Report
- Planning ordinance, including revised zoning plan and revised precinct plan for the Invermay/Inveresk Flood Inundation Specific Area Plan
- Demand and Supply Analysis for residential and industrial land
- Various negotiations with the client, the planning authority and the Tasmanian Planning Commission; and
- Responses to representations and appearance at the Tasmanian Planning Commission’s Hearing.
Key Outcomes
LPD are now busy building the residential and industrial development to provide new homes and work for Launceston’s residents.
